Explanation of a Non-Substantive Change to OMB Control Number 3060-0824:
FCC Form 498
Purpose of this Submission: This submission is being made for a non-substantive change request to existing information collections pursuant to 44 U.S.C. § 3507. The Commission seeks to change the FCC Form 498 and Instructions (OMB Control No. 3060-0824) in accordance with 2 CFR Part 25.
Summary of Updates to the FCC Form 498 and Instructions
Transition of Requirements: The Commission’s Public Notice released April 6, 20221 announced the transition from using the Data Universal Numbering System Number (DUNS) to a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) for SAM.GOV.
Page 1, Block 3 of the FCC Form 498 is updated to remove the word “DUNS and.”
Page 1, Block 3, item number 22 of the FCC Form 498 is updated to remove “DUNS and Bradstreet Number (DUNS)” entry.
Page 11, notice section of the FCC Form 498 is updated to remove “DUNS” and replace it with “UEI.”
Page 6 on the FCC Form 498 instruction is updated to remove the word(s) “DUN and Bradstreet Identification Number (DUNS)” and replace it with “SAM.GOV Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).”
Page 22 on the FCC Form 498 instruction is updated to remove the word “DUN” and replace it with “UEI.”
FCC Form 498 and Instructions Block 3 items renumbered and titled as: Item (22) FCC Registration Number and Item (23) SAM.GOV Unique Entity ID.
There are no changes in the burdens and no costs are associated with this information collection.
