pdfLEGAL DIVISION
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
[Date]
Dear [FDIC Legal Division Former Employee],
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) promotes confidence in the financial system by chartering
new banks, supervising and monitoring financial institutions, paying insured depositors quickly, effectively
managing failed financial institutions, and providing superior customer services. The FDIC must proactively
ensure an ongoing state of readiness to be able to fulfill its statutory mission across different economic cycles.
Depending on the needs of the FDIC, positions in a number of sections of the Legal Division, in multiple
geographic locations, may become available. To help maintain its state of readiness, the FDIC Legal Division is
creating a database of contact information from those former employees, including retirees, who might be
interested in returning to service in the Legal Division at some point in the future. The information collected
from those interested will allow us to estimate the number and experience level of former staff potentially
eligible to return to work with FDIC.
Please respond to [email protected] at your earliest convenience, and no later than June 1, 2021, indicating
either:
•
Yes, I am interested in having my name placed in the database as a person potentially interested in
returning to the FDIC if the need should arise; or
•
No, I am not interested in having my name placed in the database.
If you respond “yes,” please provide your full name and your current mailing address, e-mail address, and
telephone number. In addition, please feel free to note any subject matter areas in which you have expertise.
The FDIC will maintain your response in a secure database which we will use to manage outreach efforts should
the FDIC need to add staff in the future. Responding to this letter does not obligate you to accept an invitation to
return, and is not a guarantee of future employment. Assignments, if any, will be made based on skill and
experience at the discretion of the FDIC.
Thank you in advance for your interest in returning to serve the FDIC in the event of a future need. If you have
any questions, please send them to [email protected].
Regards,
/s/
