Supporting Document(s) Concerning Priority Claim
under Article 4 of the Paris Convention
IMPORTANT
1.

This Annex can be used to submit a document in support of a priority claim (priority document) to the China
National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and/or the Korean
Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) (refer to DM/1 form, item 13). The submitted document(s) will be
transmitted by WIPO to the Office(s) concerned.

This Annex must be submitted with form DM/1 form at the time of filing.

3.

Submit only one Annex V per priority claim, regardless of how many Contracting Parties you have
designated.

4.

Where the priority document is not submitted using this Annex, it should be submitted directly to the CNIPA,
JPO and/or KIPO. In such a case, the priority document must be submitted to the Office concerned within
three months from the date of publication of the international registration in the International Designs Bulletin.
If the holder resides outside the country, it must be submitted through a local representative. The right of
priority will be lost if the priority document is not submitted within this period.
