1.1 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking inputs from industry to document the current state of modern manufacturing, and to better understand the needs and opportunities of manufacturers in the U.S. The Manufacturing Robotics program is specifically looking for information to assist emerging technologies that are expected to enable advancements in manufacturing capabilities, improve existing processes, increase product quality, and increase the economic competitiveness of U.S. industries.  Your responses will assist in these efforts and help inform us about the needs of your industry.
