According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, an agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person
is not required to respond to, a collection of information unless it displays a valid OMB control number.
The valid OMB control number for this information collection is 0584-0043. The time required to
complete this information collection is estimated to average 20 minutes per response, including the time
for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed,
and completing and reviewing the collection of information.
Each State agency must complete this Food Package Implementation Requirements Form indicating their
anticipated implementation dates of provisions under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC): Revisions in the WIC Food Packages final rule. State agencies should
consider State Plan submission and Regional Office approval processes in their timeline. There are twelve
(12) sections, of which ten (10) sections you will be asked to provide an estimated date you plan to
implement the various requirements. When selecting your estimated implementation dates, please select
the 1st of a month, even if the 1st falls on a non-business day. For example: August 1, 2025. You will have
an opportunity to update or confirm any dates entered as you solidify your plans. If the State agency has
already implemented a provision, they may enter a past date to validate the requirement has been met
and is considered complete. At the end of the form, you will have the opportunity to provide any
additional information necessary for your Food Package Rule provisions implementation. If your
comment is related to a specific question, please note which question in this section.

Implementation Deadline for Revision in the WIC Food Packages
Final Rule Requirements
Cash-Value Voucher/Benefit (CVV/B): Implement the provision in 7 CFR 246.10(e)(10) and (11), Tables
2 and 3) that increase CVV/B for children to $24, for pregnant and postpartum participants to $43, and
partially and fully breastfeeding participants to $47. This provision must be included in the State
agency's policy and procedures and approved for implementation as of June 17, 2024, which was
60 days following the release of the final rule.
By October 1, 2024, State agencies must update their policies and MIS to the FY 2025 inflation-adjusted
CVV/B amounts, which are $26, for children, $47 for pregnant and postpartum participants, and $52 for
partially and fully breastfeeding participants. See WIC Policy Memorandum #2024-7, Fiscal Year 2025

Vitamin D: Implement the provision in Table 4 at 7 CFR 246.10(e)(12) that establishes a minimum vitamin
D requirement of 106 IU Vitamin D per 8 ounces of yogurt. For State agencies that authorize yogurt as a
milk substitution option, this provision must be implemented by April 19, 2027, which is 36 months
following the release of the final rule.
All other provisions in the Revisions in the WIC Food Packages final rule must be implemented
by April 20, 2026, which is 24 months following the publication of the final rule.
