I’m writing to let you know that our school district has been selected for an important study for
the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS). FNS oversees the
school lunch and breakfast programs.
This study, the 2024–2025 National School Foods Study, is led by Mathematica on behalf of FNS.
They are reaching out to students and their families in the district about the study. The goal is to
learn more about student nutrition and school foods. The district supports this effort. I fully
encourage you to participate. This is a chance to help these programs best serve the needs of our
students.
Participation in the study is voluntary. Your decision to participate will not affect your student’s
ability to obtain school meals or participate in any other school activities. If you have any questions
