the nutritional quality of school meals and snacks, the cost to produce school meals, and student participation and dietary
intakes. This is a mandatory collection and FNS will use the information to monitor program operations. This collection does not
request any personally identifiable information under the Privacy Act of 1974. According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995,
an agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, a collection of information unless it displays a

complete this information collection is estimated to average 0.03 hours per response, including the time for reviewing

The [Alaska/Guam/Hawaii/Puerto Rico/the U.S. Virgin Islands] Child Nutrition Program is
working with Mathematica and Decision Information Resources to conduct the 2024–2025
National School Foods Study.
Your participation is vital to accurately assess meal costs. Findings from the study will
decision-making
regarding
per-meal
reimbursement
rates
in
inform
[Alaska/Guam/Hawaii/Puerto Rico/the U.S. Virgin Islands].
This important study will determine the cost of producing reimbursable meals for the National
School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, including indirect and local administrative
costs. It will also examine the ratios of revenues to costs. Reimbursement rates for school meals
sold in the contiguous 48 States and the District of Columbia are assessed periodically using a
rigorous cost study methodology and now we are applying that methodology to [State/territory].
All information gathered for this study is for research purposes only and will not be used for
auditing or monitoring. Taking part in the study will not affect Federal meal reimbursements or
benefits to students participating in the school meal programs.
Representatives from Mathematica or Decision Information Resources will contact you in the

Su participación es vital para evaluar de manera precisa los costos de alimentos. Los
resultados del estudio contribuirán a las decisiones sobre las tasas de reembolsos por cada
comida en Puerto Rico.
Este importante estudio podrá determinar el costo de producir comidas reembolsables para el
Programa Nacional de Almuerzos Escolares y el Programa de Desayunos Escolares, incluyendo
costos administrativos locales e indirectos. También examinará las relaciones entre las ganancias
y los costos. Los porcentajes de reembolso de las comidas escolares vendidas en los 48 Estados
contiguos y el Distrito de Columbia se evalúan periódicamente mediante una rigurosa metodología
de estudio de costes y ahora aplicamos esa metodología a [Estado/territorio]. Toda la información
