NHSBH INTRODUCTION VIDEO: VOICEOVER AUDIO
To serve people across the United States, the National Household Survey on Behavioral Health
collects data on substance use, mental health and other health-related issues that are used by
local, state, and national agencies to support education, treatment and prevention programs.
For this survey, households nationwide just like yours are scientifically selected at random and
then visited by a professional interviewer.
During this visit, the interviewer asks a few general questions to determine if anyone in your
household will complete an interview. Those completing the full interview will receive $30 cash.
To protect your privacy, you record most of your answers into a computer. The interviewer
never sees or hears them. Your answers are combined with those from thousands of others,
and are reported only as overall statistics.
You cannot be replaced so your participation is very important.
