Public Burden Statement: According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, no persons are required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a valid OMB control number. The valid OMB control number for this information collection is 0906-0091. This information collection supports the identification, development, implementation, and dissemination of maternal (patient) safety bundles to promote safe care for every U.S. birth and assist with addressing the complex problem of high maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity rates within the U.S. The mission of AIM is to support best practices that make birth safer, improve the quality of maternal health care and outcomes, and save lives. Maternal patient safety bundles address topics commonly associated with health complications or risks related to prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. The time required to complete this information collection is estimated to average less than 1 hour per response, including the time to review instructions, search existing data resources, gather the data needed, to review and complete the information collection. This information collection is mandatory for grantees and voluntary for non-grantees, and confidentiality is followed according to law.
