Travel Choice Questions Block
In the Travel Choice Questions Block, each respondent will be given a pre-determined survey
version (14 total versions). Within each survey version, three travel time savings, difference in trip
characteristics, and additional cost combination questions will be shown to the respondent. The
travel time savings and additional cost is based on a percentage of the total travel time and travel
cost answered in Questions TC.2 and TC.3, respectively. For example, if it took Respondent A 60
minutes and $100 to reach their charter fishing site and the travel time savings and additional
costs are both 10%, based on the survey version, then minutes would appear as 6 minutes
and <$XX> would appear as $10. The range for the three categories may change after additional
testing, but an example range for each category is as follows:

the respondent’s original trip (“Your Trip” option), in Questions TC.4, TC.5, and TC.6, then we
will randomly select two of the three chosen alternatives to show in Question TC.7. If only two
alternatives are chosen, then the two chosen alternatives will be shown in Question TC.7.
