OVERVIEW


The following is a collection of potential questions (question bank) to be used in testing a variety of communication content, including statements, rationales, messages, recommendations, guidelines, articles, factsheets, webpages, maps etc. for CDC. It should NOT be viewed as a single questionnaire. The question bank is arranged into the following sections, and by topic.


Sections

  • Demographic questions

  • Market research experience questions

  • Introductory questions

  • Core questions

  • Activity/task based questions

  • Follow-up questions


Customizations

Many questions are customizable to the type of content tested and the topic using the following bracketed phrases:

  • [CONTENT TYPE] indicates that the material type should be inserted (e.g., statement, message, recommendation, factsheet, etc.)

  • [TOPIC] indicates that a topic should be inserted (e.g., screening guideline, vaccine, etc.)

  • [CAPITALIZED ORANGE] describes when an additional insertion is needed.

  • The emotions listed below can be inserted into questions where prompted by [EMOTION].

  • The adjectives listed below can be inserted into questions where prompted by [ADJECTIVE] and represent a variety of constructs used in testing communication materials and messages.
