Noyce Teacher Scholarship Evaluation by SRI
Context
SRI is evaluating the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program (Noyce). As evaluators we
are interested in talking to people in various roles in the program to better understand the
program and assess the impact the scholarship has had on your work and the broader field.
Goals of evaluation
This evaluation by SRI will explain: 1) The goals of Noyce awards, 2) How teacher prep programs
diversify, recruit, select, prepare, empower, and support Noyce recipients, 3) The relationships between
the support, activities, and training that Noyce recipients receive, the types of Noyce recipients, and the
recipients’ plans to go into and stay in teaching and leadership roles and 4) The impact of Noyce on
teacher certification in STEM fields and employment in high-need schools.
