Areas of Emphasis (AOEs)

AOEs are critical to the mission and continued operations of a facility. They depict critical operations and functions of a
facility as well as provide importance in describing its overall character. Loss of or damage to an AOE may result in loss of
life, income, capability, iconic value, or have a detrimental business impact. AOEs can also include mass gathering areas or
ingress and egress routes of high importance.
IVP collections seek to identify and highlight facility AOEs. By doing so, end users are provided with visual references of
important areas and elements of their facility. An IVP technician can and will collect AOE specific information if provided in
advance of or during the site visit by a knowledgeable facility representative.
AOEs are represented by a red panoramic button. When clicked, it will open a panoramic image with a
radar and map for orientation.

IVP Operation Requirements
Hardware Requirements:
• Pano2VR (main IVP application) uses CPU CORS (Cross-origin resource sharing). Computers with new processors will
work well. If it is an older machine, download the project files to the hard drive and run it from there, rather than off
the USB drive.
• RAM: Minimum 16 to 32 for standard IVP
• A faster SSD (Solid State Drive) recommended for large file size (i.e., IVPs with multiple videos)
• Graphics: Pano2VR uses OpenGL 2.0, included with most modern graphic cards. ATI or NVIDIA graphics cards will
work well. Avoid Intel HD graphics cards (may cause issues with Open GL)
Software Requirements:
• To run the IVP the PSA will need to have Garden Gnome Package Viewer (GGPV) installed on their DHS laptop. GGPV
is listed on the approved DHS software list; the IT department can manually install said software. The stakeholder
will also need to have the GGPV installed to view the IVP on their system (it is provided with the IVP final product).
