PO 00000 Frm 00098 Fmt 4703 Sfmt 9990 30027 Abstract: VA Form 26–0971, The Status of Loan Account—Foreclosure or other Liquidation, is used in connection with a holder’s request for VA to repurchase a loan under 38 CFR 36. The holder of a delinquent vendee account is legally entitled to repurchase of the loan by VA when the loan has been continuously in default for three months and the amount of the delinquency equals or exceeds the sum of two monthly installments. VA collects the required information electronically and through VA Form 26–0971. An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on this collection of information was published at 91 FR 12279, March 12, 2026.
