APPOINTMENT OF A REPRESENTATIVE
(POWER OF ATTORNEY)

IMPORTANT
1.

The applicant/holder may appoint a representative to act on his behalf before the
International Bureau. The use of this form is not compulsory. It is made available for the
convenience of applicants/holders of international registrations.

2.

This form may relate to one or more specified international applications/registrations of the
same applicant/holder (refer to Rule 3(2)(b) of the Common Regulations under the
1999 Act and the 1960 Act of the Hague Agreement).

3.

The recording of an appointment of a representative is exempt from the payment of a fee.

This cover page must not be sent to the International Bureau.

sev eral representatives are indicated, only the one indicated first shall be considered to be a representative and be recorded as such. If a partnershi p o r f i r m of
attorney s or agents has been indicated as representative before the International Bureau, it shall be regarded as one representative.
