This memo requests approval of changes to the approved information collection, National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance Events Registration Questions, approved under the Administration for Children and Families Generic for Information Collections Related to Gatherings (OMB #0970-0617).  

Background
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Office of Child Care received approval for the National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance Events Registration Questions on January 8. 2025 to allow ACF’s contractor to request basic information about registrants for technical assistance and professional development webinars and training offered through the contract. 

At the time, training and technical development provider was named the National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance. In 2025, the Office of Child Care and the most recent contractor renamed the center the “Child Care Quality and Business Support Center” to align with the administration’s priorities. Therefore, the name on OMB-approved materials is now outdated. 

Overview of Requested Changes
This request is to update our data collection forms and surveys to reflect the new center name. Specifically, materials have been updated to change the name on our collection forms from the “National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance” to the “Child Care Quality and Business Support Center.”  The name change does not change any requirements for respondents, the content of the collection, or the burden associated with the collection. 

Time Sensitivities
The Child Care Quality and Business Support Center intends to stop using the outdated forms and implement the revised forms for upcoming professional development planned for the end of February 2026.
