I support the information collection requirements as posted to be renewed without change. It would not be practical or ethical to withdraw reporting requirements or deem them unnecessary, because they are important for assessing program success. Reporting supports science-based wildlife management, regulation compliance, and informed decision-making for endangered and threatened species. I understand this data to be essential to evaluating conservation outcomes, and improving general management and conflict mitigation strategies. Overall, ensuring accountability under the Endangered Species Act. Lastly, the Federal Register notice states that “there are no forms associated with this information collection.” Including a standardized form would improve consistency and efficiency in data collection and analysis, as well as clear understanding of required information and expectations, and easier for agency staff to review more efficiently. A simple standardized form for data collection should be standard procedure in helping to minimize inconsistencies and improve overall efficiency.
