Thank you for accepting comments on this important matter. I support renewal of the information collection
requirements for all experimental populations, including those specific to gray wolves and grizzly bears. This
information collection is vital for the proper performance of agency functions and has clear, practical utility. This
data is essential to evaluating conservation outcomes, improving general management and conflict mitigation
strategies, and ensuring accountability under the Endangered Species Act.
The estimated burden of thirty minutes for reporting, and thirty minutes for record keeping appears to be
understated. A more realistic estimate is about one hour for reporting, and one hour for record keeping, given the
time required to compile records, verify information, and ensure accuracy.
