Addendum to Supporting Statement for Form SSA-8010-BK
Statement of Income and Resources
20 CFR 416.207, 416.301-416.310, 416.704, and 416.708
OMB No. 0960-0124

Minor Revisions to the Collection Instrument

SSA is making the following revisions:

    • Change #1: We are adding a new subsection (c) in section 1.

Justification #1: We are adding a new subsection (c) in section 1 to reflect the addition of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as a non-income public income maintenance payment as of September 30, 2024.

    • Change #2: We are revising the Privacy Act Statements on this collection.

Justification #2: SSA’s Office of the General Counsel is conducting a systematic review of SSA’s Privacy Act Statements on agency forms. As a result, SSA is updating the Privacy Act Statements on this collection.

SSA will make these revisions upon OMB approval. These revisions do not affect the current burden for this information collection.

Terms of Clearance
OMB placed the following Terms of Clearance on this Information Collection when they last approved it on 10/10/2023:

The agency made minor modifications to the Supporting Statement and revised the burden estimate.

SSA response:
SSA has retained the revisions to the Supporting Statement since the 2023 approval; however, we made some updates to better clarify the information and to mention the new Upload Documents version of the form. In addition, we updated the burden data to reflect current management information (MI) data which shows a shorter average burden per response of 20 minutes. While we based our current calculations on the updated figures from our current MI data, we are willing to discuss this change with OMB should the need arise.
