General Comment
My comment is entirely my personal opinion and not substantiated by any kind of file or
media content.
I live rural mid North Carolina. I was raised on a farm, and we had a very meager upbringing
with just enough income to feed and clothe us. I have had no formal college education but
did attend several quarters at a nearby community college.
My wife and I are both retired, due mainly to health, more than desire not to work. We both
receive Social Security and we do have substantial savings but are by no means rich. This
information may not be relevant to you but, as I said my comments are completely my
opinion and is relevant to my train of thought while completing the survey. I am a very frugal
man but are extremely environmental as well.
We both shop a lot online, mainly to find the best deal on something we need or want.

Amazon and Walmart are my major vendors for front door delivery. In the end it does
usually save us a few dollars, but to what expense to the environment. Both use all kinds of
delivery methods, FedEx, UPS, company vehicles and private drivers. My concern is that
these methods, although they do save me gas, may contribute much more to global
warming than individuals driving to the store to pick things up. So, my comment is more of
a question rather than a statement.
I hope you can find a way to determine that and include it in your report when it is
complete.
