OPRE Evaluation: State Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Case Studies [Descriptive case studies]

The Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE) in collaboration with the Office of Family Assistance (OFA) in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) proposes to collect information for the State TANF Case Studies project. The goal of the State TANF Case Studies project is to expand the descriptive knowledge base of innovative employment and training programs for low-income individuals, including TANF recipients. We will collect information on up to 32 innovative programs through semi-structured interviews with program staff, in-depth interviews with participants, guided case reviews, and observations. The data collected in the study are not intended to be generalized to a broader universe.
