The Grants to Tribal Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program supports the development and operation of nonprofit, nongovernmental tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions. Eligible applicants must meet the statutory definition of a “tribal coalition.” Tribal coalitions provide education, support, and technical assistance to member Indian service providers and tribes to enhance their response to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. This information collection is necessary for the Attorney General and grantees from the Tribal Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Coalition Program to comply with federal statutory and regulatory reporting requirements. The semi-annual progress report will also be used by the Office on Violence Against Women to monitor grant-funded activities and to comply with statutorily mandated Congressional reporting requirements.
