The collection is necessary under 5 U.S.C. Section 552a(b) to collect information from individuals requesting information under the Privacy Act (PA). The Department will use the information to provide documents that are responsive to a Privacy Act or FOIA/Privacy Act request under the Freedom of Information Act.
