Abstract: THE PURPOSE OF THE WHOLESALE INVENTORY VALUATION SUPPLEMENT IS TO COLLECT DATA ON THE METHOD(S) USED TO VALUE INVENTORY REPORTED ON THE CURRENT TRADE REPORT (CTR). BECAUSE SEVERAL METHODS OF INVENTORY VALUATION ARE AVAILABLE, THE SUPPLEMENT HELPS DETERMINE THE IMPACT OF THE DIFFERENT METHODS ON SUMMARY STATISTICS FROM CTR. BEA IS THE PRIME DATA USER, AND USES THESE DATA TO ADJUST THEIR MONTHLY INVENTORY DATA
