Abstract: FEDERAL AVIATION ACT OF 1958, SECTION 307 (49 USC 1348) AUTHORIZES REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE FLIGHT OF AIRCRAFT. 14 CFR 91 PRESCRIBES REQUIREMENTS FOR FILING FLIGHT PLANS. INFORMATION IS COLLECTED TO PROVIDE PROTECTION TO AIRCRAFT IN FLIGHT AND PERSONS AND PROPERTY ON THE GROUND.
