Abstract: THE LAW REQUIRES THAT MINIMUM WAGES AND CERTAIN BENEFITS BE PAID TO ALL LABORERS AND MECHANICS ON JOBS WITH FEDERAL CONTRACTS. THE CONTRACTOR SUBMITS WEEKLY PAYROLLS OF SUCH EMPLOYEES TO THE CONTRACTION OFFICER. REQUIREMENT 29CFR5.6. AUTHORIZES AND DIRECTS FIELD INVESTIGATIONS, INCLUDING SAMPLE INTERVIEWS OF EMPLOYEES. THIS INFORMATION IS COMPARED WITH DATA FROM THE WEEKLY PAYROLLS.
