Abstract: THE RAILROAD RETIREMENT ACT GUARANTEES THAT A WIDOW(ER)'S BENEFIT WILL BE NO LESS THAN THE BENEFIT THE WIDOW(ER) WAS ENTITLED TO AS A SPOUSE IN THE MONTH PRECEEDING THE MONTH OF THE EMPLOYEE'S DEATH. THE REPORT WILL OBTAIN INFORMATION NEEDED FOR CONVERSION OF A SPOUSE'S ANNUITY TO A WIDOW(ER)'S ANNUITY AND DETERMINATION OF THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF SUCH BENEFIT.
