Abstract: THE MUSEUM ASSESSMENT GRANT IS A ONE-TIME AWARD TO HELP COVER THE COST OF AN INDEPENDENT EVALUATION OF THE MUSEUM'S OPERATIONS. THE ACCREDITATION GRANT IS A ONE-TIME AWARD MADE DIRECTLY TO A MUSEUM TO ASSIST IT WITH THE COSTS INVOLVED IN OBTAINING ACCREDITATION FROM EITHER THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF MUSEUMS OR THE AMERICAN ASSOIATION OF ZOOLOGICAL PARKS AND AQUARIUMS.
