Abstract: NASA USES A DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE FORM TO PROVIDE ITS CONTRACTING OFFICERS WITH A UNIFORM METHOD OF ACQUIRING DATA WHICH WILL PERMIT THEM TO DETERMINE IF AN OFFEROR'S PRICE FOR A COMMERCIAL ITEM MAY BE EXEMPTED FROM THE REQUIREMENT OF PL-87-653 WHICH REQUIRES CERTIFIED PRICING DATA.
