Abstract: THE INFORMATION COLLECTED WILL BE USED TO DEVELOP AND DISSEMINATE DATA ON WAGE RATE CHANGES NEGOTIATED BY MAJOR COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNITS IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR. INFORMATION IS NEEDED BY FEDERAL POLICY MAKERS TO ASSESS THE IMPACT OF LEGISLATION AND ECONOMY POLICY, TO ANALYZE RELATIONSHIPS IN BARGAINING SETTLEMENTS BETWEEN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS, AND TO EXAMINE EFFECTS OF SUCH FEDERAL PROGRAMS AS REVENUE SHARING AND PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT
