Abstract: REGION IX IS UNDER PUBLIC PRESSURE TO INVESTIGATE POSSIBLE HEALTH EFFECTS UPON CHILDREN OF EXPOSURE TO VINYL CHLORIDE. THEY ARE CONDUCTING AN EPIDEMOLOGICAL STUDY TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT, IF ANY, OF POTENTIAL HAZARD. THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY WILL ASSIST THE REGION IN DETERMINING THE NEED TO REGULATE THE MANUFACTURE OF VINYL CHLORIDE.
