DATA IS ALSO COLLECTED ON VESSELS, PASSENGERS, FREIGHT AND TONNAGE, ACCORDING TO LAW. THE DATA ARE USED TO CONDUCT A SYSTEMS-WIDE APPROACH TO PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OF THE WATERWAY.
