Abstract: THE FEDERAL MEDICAL CARE RECOVERY ACT MANDATES THIS DEPARTMENT TO ASSERT CLAIMS FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES INCURRED ON BEHALF OF MEDICAL BENEFICIARIES OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE INJURED AS A RESULT OF NEGLIGENCE BY A THIRD PARTY. THE FORM HHS-650 D IS ONE OF A SERIES. IT SOLICITS INFORMANTION FROM A BENEFICIARY NECESSARY TO ESTABLISH SUCH CLAIM. IT IS THE ONLY ONE OF THAT SERIES THAT IS A BURDEN ON THE PUBLIC IN TERMS OF HOURS
