THE MINING LAW OF 1872, (20 U.S.C. 21 THROUGH 54), AS AMENDED, REQUIRES THE ISSUANCE OF A MINERAL PATENT IN THOSE CASES WHERE THE CLAIMANT APPLIES FOR A PATENT AND THE CLAIMANT HAS FULFILLED ALL THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW. BEFORE A MINING CLAIMANT APPLIES FOR A MINERAL PATENT, HE/SHE MUST HAVE A CORRECT SURVEY OF THE CLAIMS. THE MINERAL SURVEY IS PART OF THE APPLICATION FOR A MINERAL PATENT.
