Abstract: THE ESARS TABLES USED PRIMARILY BY THE UNITED STATES EMPLOYMENT SERVICE WERE ORIGINALLY DESIGNED TO PROVIDE AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE IN A SYSTEM OF THIS KIND WITH RESPECT TO SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE AFFILIATED STATE AGENCIES TO VARIOUS APPLICANT GROUPS. THE DATA ARE USED AT STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS FOR PLANNING, BUDGETING, OPERATIONS, AND EVALUATION OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE AND THE WIN AND FOOD STAMP PROGRAM
