Abstract: THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION ACT OF 1950, AS AMENDED, AUTHORIZES AND DIRECTS NSF TO COLLECT, INTERPRET AND ANALYZE DATA ON THE AVAILIBILITY AND CURRENT NEED OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL PERSONNEL RESOURCES IN THE U.S. AND TO PROVIDE A SOURCE OF INFORMATION FOR THE FORMULATION OF SCIENCE POLICY.
