Abstract: THIS NATIONAL PROABILITY SURVEY WILL COVER EVENTS OCCURRING IN CALENDAR YEAR 1980. BY MEANS OF QUESTIONNARIES TO MOTHERS, HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS DURING PREGNANCY AND HOSPITALS WHERE BIRTHS OCCURRED MUCH DATA ON THE PRENATAL CARE RECEIVED BY THE MOTHER, THE CURCUMSTANCES OF THE BIRTH, AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PARENTS WILL BE COLLECTED. THIS INFORMATION SUPPLEMENTS AND SERVES AS A BASIS FOR EVALUATING THE QUALITY OF INFORMATION ON THE VITAL RECORDS
