Abstract: OSHA SHIPYARD REGULATIONS REQUIRE INSEPCTION AND TESTING OF CERTAIN SPACES FOR HAZARD ATMOSPHERE BEFORE ENTRY OF PERSONNEL AND WHILE WORK IS BEING PERFORMED. THE INSPECTIONS AND TESTING ARE PERFORMED BY COMPETENT PERSONS WHO ARE DESIGNATED BY THE EMPLOYER. THE TWO FORMS ARE USED IN DESIGNATING THE COMPETENT PERSON AND AS A LOG OF HIS ACTIVITIES.
