Abstract: SECTION 1631(E)(1)(A) OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY ACT PROVIDES FOR INFORMATION CONTAINED ON APPLICATIONS FOR THE SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME (SSI) PROGRAM. THIS STUDY IS USED TO PROVIDE MEANINGFUL DATA REGARDING THE RECENTLY IMPLEMENTED BANK ACCOUNT VERIFICATION PROCEDURES AND DETERMINE THE IMPACT OF THESE PROCEDURES ON PROCESSING TIMES.
