Abstract: THE SURVEY IS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE INDICES AND TRENDS IN PUBLIC DEMANDS FOR FISHING, HUNTING AND OTHER WILDLIFE OPPORTUNITIES. THE DATA FROM THE SURVEY IS USED TO ASSESS FEDERAL AND STATE PROGRAMS IN THE MANAGEMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE RESOURCES AND TO ASSIGN PRIORITIES TO BALANCE USER DEMANDS WITH AVAILABLE SUPPLIES OF THESE RESOURCES.
