Abstract: SECTION 201, PL 91-513, AUTHORIZES THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO CONTROL A DRUG OR REMOVE A DRUG FROM A SCHEDULE AFTER GATHERING NECESSARY DATA. PROJECT DAWN IS USED TO COLLECT, EVALUATE AND DISSEMINATE DRUG ABUSE INFORMATION TO PROVIDE EARLY WARNING TO GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES CONCERNED WITH PREVENTIVE AND REMEDIAL DRUG ACTION, DETECT NEW DRUG ABUSE TRENDS, AND EVALUATE DRUG ABUSE DATA FOR CONTROL CONSIDERATION.
