UNDER THE LOCOMOTIVE INSPECTION LAW (49 CFR, PART 230) AND RAILROAD
FREIGHT CAR SAFETY STANDARDS (49 CFR, PART 215). DATA IS USED IN
DETERMING EFFECTIVENESS OF INSPECTION PROGRAM, DEGREE OF COMPLIANCE
AND EFFECT OF REGULATIONS ON THE REDUCTION OF RELATED
ACCIDENTS.
