Abstract: TO OBTAIN FEDERAL DISASTER ASSISTANCE, THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE TO PUBLICLY-OWNED FACILITIES MUST BE SURVEYED AND DOCUMENTED BY FED. INSPECTORS. THE AUTHORIZED AGENT OF THE ST/LOCAL GOV'T CONCERNED THEN SUBMITS A PROJECT APPLICATION WITH THE SUPPORTING DSR'S. PRIOR TO APPROVAL, FEMA PERFORMS AN ENGINEERING ANALYSIS OF EACH PROJECT APPLICATION AND THE ACCOMPANYING DSR'S TO ENSURE THAT THE RESTORATION WORK AND ASSOCIATED COSTS MEET FEMA ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
