Abstract: THIS FORM IS NEEDED TO UPDATE THE UNIVERSE OF PERMIT-ISSUING PLACES IN THE UNITED STATES. AN UPDATED UNIVERSE IS REQUIRED TO SELECT RELIABLE SAMPLES FOR ESTIMATING BUILDING PERMIT AUTHORIZATIONS. ESTIMATES OF HOUSING UNITS AND NONRESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS AUTHORIZED BY BUILDING PERMITS ARE WIDELY USED FOR ECONOMIC AND BUSINESS DECISIONS.
