Abstract: DATA FROM THIS STUDY WILL BE USED TO ASSESS THE FEASIBILITY OF DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING A TELEPHONE SURVEY EMPLOYING A RANDOM DIGIT DIALING SURVEY METHODOLOGY. THE RESPONSE RATES, COSTS AND LEVELS OF PARTICIPATION OF FISHERS AND HUNTERS WILL BE COMPARED TO SIMILAR DATA COLLECTED IN THE 1980 NATIONAL SURVEY OF FISHING, HUNTING, AND WILD LIFE ASSOCATED RECREATION (FHWAR).
