Abstract: PRICE DATA FROM THE TELEPHONE SURVEY WILL BE USED IN THE ESTIMATION OF EXPENDITURES FOR INSTALLING AND MAINTAINING SEPTIC SYSTEMS AND SEWER HOOK-UPS (LATERALS), A SIGNIFICANT PART OF NATIONAL EXPENDITURES FOR POLLUTION ABATEMENT AND CONTROL (PAC). EXPENDITURES FOR PAC, PUBLISHE ANNUALLY BY BEA, FACILITATE THE STUDY OF THE EFFECTS OF SUCH SPENDING ON REAL GROWTH, INFLACTION, AND PRODUCTIVITY. SURVEYING WILL BEGIN UP OMB APPROVAL AND END NO LATER THAN THREE MONTHS AFTERWARDS
