Abstract: THE DATA GATHERED WILL PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE INCIDENCE AND PREVALANCE OF DISEASE AND COST OF CHILD HEALTH FINANCED UNDER MEDICAID. THIS INFORMATION IS UTILIZED TO ASSESS CHILD HEALTH STATUS, TO MEASURE IMPROVEMENTS, AND TO DETERMINE WHETHER MEDICAID PROGRAM FUNDS ARE WELL SPENT. THESE DATA ARE THE ONLY DATA ON TITLE XIX CHILD HEALTH AVAILABLE IN HCFA.
