This request for
continued use of the study instruments is returned without
approval. The request was sent to OMB after the expiration of the
previous clearance. Even though the previous clearance had expired
the Department allowed the collection of data to continue and data
wer collected in a State that had not been included in the previous
clear ance. This was a violation of 44 USC Chapter 35. The
Department is to take all appropriate steps to assure that such
violations do not again occur. In the meantime, the data collection
has been concluded, according to the DOL project manager, and no
purpose would be served by substantively reviewing this clearance
request.
