Abstract: THIS AUGMENTATION OF THE 1980 NLS MAKES POSSIBLE THE EXAMINATION OF HOW PARENTS' PLANNING OR LACK OF IT, AFFECTS CHILDREN'S DECISION TO CONTINUE EDUCATION BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL. INFORMATION FROM PARENTS AND STUDENTS IN THE 10TH & 12TH GRADES WILL ALLOW EXAMINATION OF THE CRUCIAL PERIOD BEGINNING AT THE TIME OF THE POSTSECONDARY DECISION.
