RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS LEVIED ON DRIVERS AND CARRIERS BY 49 CFR
39 QUALIFICATIONS OF DRIVERS. OMB NOTES THAT DOT HAS BEEN
SUBMITTING THESE VARIOUS PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS ONE AT A TIME. OMB
IS GIVING ALL THESE RELATED REQUIREMENTS THE SAME EXPIRATION DATE.
THE EXPIRATION DATE IS JANUARY 1983, THE EXPIRATION DATE GIVEN TO
THE ROAD TEST. WHE THESE PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS ARE SUBMITTED FOR
RENEWAL IN OCTOBER 1982 THEY MAY NOT BE SUBMITTED SEPARATELY. AT
THAT TIME THE ENTIRE PAPERWORK REQUIREMENT OF THIS REGULATION MUST
BE SUBMITTED IN ONE CLEARANCE REQUEST WITH ONE SUPPORTING
STATEMENT.

INFORMATION TO DETERMINE IF AN APPLICAN CAN SAFELY OPERATE A
COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE AND IS NOT DISQUALIFIED UNDER THE FEDERAL
MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY REGULATIONS BY REVIEWING PAST EMPLOYMENT
RECORDS AND P DRIVING RECORDS.
